Too much, too soon?

If you starting a new regime, beginning training for a specific sport or event or embarking on a total body transformation, then be careful of doing too much too soon. What do I mean by this? Well, make sure you increment your training marginally each week, both in terms of training volume and intensity but also nutritional deficit. This will ensure a gradual body composition change, reduce the risk of injury and prevent mental barriers such as boredom from your training. Often this time of year people are guilty of this, only to be burnout, tired, hypoglycaemic, injured and mentally drained from their new regime by as early as the end of the month. So my top tip, start slowly and increase gradually, Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was the new healthier leaner you. As well as increasing training load just reduce your nutritional intake by approx 10%. Research suggests the slower you increment your training load, the more successful you will be in the long run. }
